New Zealand records more runs per head of population than almost anywhere else on this leaderboard, and like Australia it uses the US ANSI QWERTY layout rather than the UK ISO one. That makes New Zealand scores directly comparable with the global top of the board, with no layout adjustment needed.

With a smaller pool of recorded runs than the larger English-speaking countries, the New Zealand board moves more when a single fast run lands — which cuts both ways: a strong 60-second Medium Words result can put you near the top far more easily here than on the global board. If you are chasing a placement, the 1-minute test is the one to target, since it is the length most other entries use.
